The Pattern Shop must have been a good to place for to work in if you were involved with Fielding’s cricket. I imagine that any new wickets, bails, even bats would have been easy to make there…?!
In the back row, the far right man could be Fred Grigg and next to him Ken Wager. I do remember Ken being quite tall.
I recognise the man in the back row 2nd left but I can’t remember his name, also right hand sitting man looks familiar, but again I can’t put a name to him either.
In the middle, 2nd from left is Stan Wood and on his right a man whose surname was Holland. He worked in the Pattern Shop if I remember rightly. I remember naming him on another photo and I put ‘Dutch’ Holland, but I’m thinking now it could have been Frank, can any one help with that name? I think he had a son who worked at F&P and I’m sure his nickname was ‘Dutch’, so I might be getting their names mixed up! Chippy Aston

I have just remembered: middle row 4th from left is Fred Rossitter.
Thanks Alan – Jim really was Mr Sports & Social at Fielding’s wasn’t he?! People have described him as “Mr Rugby”, but I wonder what you & others remember of him as a cricketer…?!
