  • “My father, Hubert Lester Jay, played for the Atlas Works Rugby in 1937 for which you have a photograph but my brother, Alan Stuart Jay, was in the apprentice intake for 1958, having worked in the office the year before at the age of 15 before taking up an apprenticeship aged 16.”
