This is a Two-Part Presentation to the Institution of Civil Engineers, Part I, on Machine-Tools, and other Labour-Saving Appliances worked by Hydraulic Pressure, by RHT and Part II, Stamping & Welding under the Steam Hammer, by Alexander McDonnell, on 6th March, 1883.
This is a lengthy Paper, Part I presented by RHT, comprising his Presentation to the Institution (pages 4-18), There are also engineering drawings related to Part I (Plates 5-7), with descriptions (Appendix pages 19-22) and these are displayed first.
Part II commences with Presentation (pages 23-25). There is also an engineering drawing related to Part II (Plate 8), with description (Appendix pages 26-28) and this is displayed at the commencement of Part II.
This is followed by Discussion on Part I and Part II (pages 29-74).
The Paper concludes with a Correspondence section (pages 74-88).
