This device was used for attaching fabrications for welding. As best shown in the last image, the fabrication was attached to the table, that could be fixed in any convenient position between vertical and horizontal. The table could then be rotated slowly enabling an arc welding process to take place. These images shows a main cylinder and housing in the course of welding.
The photographs illustrated was recovered from a poor-quality acetate negative, digitally converted and enhanced.
