These machines were designed by Henry Berry Ltd., Hunslet, Leeds and, latterly, built in Gloucester.

Henry Berry was a member of Fielding & Platt International Ltd. group of companies, that was created in 1995 and operated under this name until the end of 1998. (The logo and nameplate is shown on the presses).

The order number for these machines was possibly Henry Berry’s.

Customer names included Delphi and Modine.

  • I remember visiting Henry Berry’s in the early ’80s with my dad, George Stubbs. I remember him showing me some machinery they were building for Nuclear and the way I remember it is was that he said it used vibration to move some pellets, or something! I also remember he worked on something for the Thames Barrier and he worked in Argentina (Cordoba is on a photo) in 1973.

Ed: Thanks, Michael, for your contribution. F&P also supplied many screwed shafts for raising the Thames Barriers. John B

  • I remember working at Henry Berry on a handling cell system for British Nuclear Fuels in the 80’s, I can’t remember who it was for but I’m sure it was for somewhere in Scotland, can anybody remember?

Ed: Thanks for posting a comment, Darren, I hope you enjoy looking over our website and regret that we do not have more Henry Berry equipment to show you. John B
