Hello Ollie..... Just been looking at our 1961 intake photo and remembered it was Dave Tyrrell, 3rd from right in front and I think it was Robin Poulton next to him. Also I remember fondly John Mason who got me interested in motor bike trials, who once took me to and around a motorbike scramble course near Worcester where his brother was riding at, as a pillion on his then 250cc BSA road bike, very hairy over the bumps and jumps. John was a very keen and very good rider, sadly he was killed in a motorcycle accident early in his apprenticeship. I also remember riding pillion with John Powell on his Velocette along with John Mason and other mates.

Hi Bob! Thanks for adding the names, we are slowly completing the year! I am pleased you also mentioned John Mason. He was also a very good friend of mine and it was a sad loss to everyone who knew him when he was killed on his motorbike.  John B
