All were welcomed by Mr Richard Rawlings, the manager at Gloucester Quays. Next, Councillor Colin Organ (also a former Fielding employee) made a short speech. Finally, Mr Brian Mince, one time industrial photographer with the company and one of the small band of volunteers working to continue the Fielding and Platt History project, made a short speech which ended by his inviting Mrs Elsie Lane and Mr Bob Madeley to unveil the plaque.

A video of the unveiling and speeches is coming soon!

This they did and after a short photographic session everyone adjourned to The Civic Suite in the North Warehouse at Gloucester Docks at the kind invitation of Gloucester City Council. Tea, coffee and biscuits were available. Here many old acquaintances were renewed and a pleasant time was enjoyed by all.
